    We sit quietly, eyes closed, whilst I guide you on a visualization journey to imaginary destinations such as meadows, woodlands, oceans, clouds, stars and deserts etc. In the background soft ambient meditating music is played to help create the right atmosphere.     The Skittles Group is friendly and informal and we are determinedly uncompetitive! If people are new to retirement, Pershore or u3a, it is a good way to meet people, have some gentle exercise and occasionally manage to knock down a few skittles!!! Read more

  • Play Reading

    We are a group of approx 8 members, who enjoy reading plays as well as the social meeting. One member chooses a play we can read in 2 sessions usually. We enjoy classic comedies and mysteries , such as Alan Ayckbourn and Agatha Christie. Read more

  • Poetry Appreciation

    The members either bring a poem of their choice to the meeting for appreciation, or we pick a theme, e.g. Spring. Sometimes, we identify a poet to explore. Read more

    The aim of the Group will be to promote discussion, rather than providing lectures, so each month a new Philosophy topic will be led by a member of the Group giving a short introduction to encourage members' participation.
