Our first was back in June when we went to Port Sunlight on the Wirral, which was founded by William Lever in 1888, very similar in principle to Cadbury Bournville in Birmingham.
The village was built for his work force for the manufacture and supply of Sunlight soap. The site covers 130 acres and has 900 grade II listed buildings as well as a museum and picturesque landscapes, a theatre and church.
A full coach of 50+ members joined us on the day.
